WHO WE ARE

Systems engineers for production AI and mission-critical software.

Since 2017, OPTIME has engineered software where latency, reliability, privacy, hardware, networking, and infrastructure efficiency matter. We connect AI with the systems required to make it dependable in production.

AI did not replace our systems-engineering foundation. It made that foundation more valuable.

OUR ENGINEERING EVOLUTION

From every byte to every token.

Production AI adds models, evaluation, inference, and new infrastructure demands. The engineering discipline beneath it remains grounded in how the complete system behaves.

Systems foundation

Software close to the machine and the network

  • C/C++, Rust, and assembly
  • Linux, embedded software, firmware, and BSPs
  • Codecs, broadcasting, streaming, and WebRTC
  • Telecom, packet processing, and networking
  • GPU, FPGA, and high-performance computing

Production AI

Models inside complete production systems

  • Language, vision, speech, and multimodal systems
  • Private AI and optimized inference
  • Edge AI and AI infrastructure
  • Evaluation, observability, and production operations

The second is built on the first.

CAPABILITIES IN BRIEF

One engineering organization across the system.

The full service and technology detail belongs on our Services and Expertise pages. These are the six capability groups customers most often combine.

AI Systems

Models, inference, evaluation, private AI, and multimodal applications.

LONG-RUNNING RESPONSIBILITY

Trust earned over years.

Our strongest customer relationships were built around difficult systems, not short-term feature delivery. We measure trust through responsibility, complexity, continuity, and long-term engineering ownership.

9 years - National communications and security infrastructure

Mobile, PSTN, internet, and regulated communications systems.

9 years - Public-safety video and computer-vision infrastructure

Video recording, surveillance, traffic-camera systems, and computer vision.

9 years - Global broadcast technology

10+ production products spanning embedded firmware, media processing, networking, broadcast infrastructure, and intelligent-media systems.

3 years - End-to-end IPTV ecosystem

Custom set-top-box hardware, BSP, embedded Linux, live streaming, VOD, recording, hardware-accelerated transcoding, and billing integration.

3 years - Telecom traffic intelligence

Layer 7, MPLS, and GTP traffic analysis with high-performance packet processing.

3 years - Telemedicine

Secure real-time communications, remote video, live ultrasound streaming, and digital-stethoscope audio.

Other multi-year work spans enterprise storage, network planning, and communications products.

ENGINEERING LEADERSHIP

Built by engineers. Led by engineers.

OPTIME has operated since 2017, with technical leadership shaped by 28 years of hands-on software and systems engineering - from assembly, embedded software, and C/C++ through telecom, video, networking, HPC, GPU acceleration, and today’s AI systems.

In 2012, before OPTIME was founded, that work included Intel GPU-accelerated Full HD transcoding focused on stream density, CPU use, power, and hardware cost. The same habit of measuring the complete execution path now informs inference and infrastructure-efficiency decisions.

Understand the complete system. Identify the real constraint. Measure before choosing the architecture. Optimize for production behavior.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

Deep engineering talent is developed.

300+

Engineers trained by our technical leadership

More than 300 engineers have participated in specialist technical education led by OPTIME’s technical leadership, including embedded systems, high-performance computing, WebRTC, real-time communications, and related advanced engineering disciplines. That work created a broader professional network through years of teaching and mentorship.

Today, OPTIME itself has 78 specialist engineers across 12 countries.

WHERE WE FIT

Where we are most useful.

Customers involve OPTIME when the hard part lies across system boundaries, inside a critical production path, or in a capability that is difficult to assemble internally.

A prototype must become production

Evaluation, security, reliability, integration, and ownership must be engineered around it.

The problem crosses disciplines

AI, native software, devices, media, networking, or infrastructure must work as one system.

Performance affects the product

Latency, throughput, memory, compute, power, and infrastructure economics are material.

The capability is difficult to hire

The work requires coordinated specialists rather than interchangeable capacity.

  1. Understand the constraint

  2. Design across the system

  3. Prove the critical path

  4. Engineer for production

  5. Transfer knowledge

CONFIDENTIALITY

Some of our strongest work cannot carry a logo.

Years inside telecommunications, regulated infrastructure, healthcare, broadcasting, and proprietary products shaped a deliberate confidentiality practice. Customer identities, architectures, data, source code, models, infrastructure details, and operational information remain confidential unless publication is explicitly approved.Where names cannot be disclosed, we show the engineering challenge, our responsibility, and the technical result.
